Prof. Dr. Tobias Bonhoeffer is Director at theand professor at Ludwigs-Maximilans-Universität München. He was born on January 9, 1960 in Berkeley, California/USA. Until 2020, Tobias Bonhoeffer was Chair of the Scientific Council of the Max Planck Society and, in this capacity, addressed the aspect of sustainability in science and strongly promoted the actions of the Max Planck Directors in this direction. In January 2020, he was also appointed Chair of the Max Planck Society's Presidential Commission on Climate Protection.
